UWI School of Dentistry

This UWI School of Dentistry is an addition to the existing school that The University of the West Indies (UWI) owns and operates within the Eric William Medical Complex at Mount Hope, Champ Fleurs.

The design is a two story building with a central vertical circulation node that is flanked by a large lecture theatre to the east, with classrooms and office on the other side below with the dental clinic above. The exterior design language incorporates both rhythmic concrete brise soleils to compliment the surrounding buildings as well as their earthy colour pallette to provide a new but cohesive composition with contemporary internal spaces.
